Morgan Stanley's European Equity Research Team has been ranked #5 in the 2001 Institutional Investor All-Europe Research Team Poll and #3 for Pan-Europe Sector Research, with just two positions separating us and CSFB, who placed first.
Commenting on the results, Jack Mueller, Head of European Equity Research, said, "Our rankings reflect a difficult year for markets and for the department as well, given significant personnel changes after four years of continuity. The results are clearly not where Morgan Stanley belongs. However, as a department, we share a collective sense of optimism given the resultant strong teams and the resolve of our individuals. We congratulate everyone on their rankings this year and look forward to next year's results."
