Morgan Stanley Asia won the "Good People Management Award 2000" in the 500+ employees category. On January 4, Mario Francescotti, President, Morgan Stanley Asia, received the award on behalf of the Firm from Mr. Tung Chee Hwa, Chief Executive, Hong Kong SAR.

The Good People Management Award is instituted by the Labour Department of the Hong Kong Government. This year, more than 180 companies participated across three categories — under 100 employees, 101–500 employees and more than 500 employees. The judging panel, consisting of top business leaders, government officials and prominent academics, chose the winners based on a variety of factors, including the philosophy of human resource management; HR programs and practices; and the ability to attract, retain and develop employees.
