Euromoney/Global Investor Magazine has announced the results of its 2000 European Broker Survey in which Morgan Stanley has won 3 out of the 6 lead categories.

  

Euromoney/Global Investor Magazine has announced the results of its 2000 European Broker Survey in which Morgan Stanley has won 3 out of the 6 lead categories.

Morgan Stanley placed first in:

  • Best Overall European Equity Research (previously No.2 in 1999)
  • Best European Equity Strategy
  • Principal Broker Best Execution.
In the poll, the last covering European and Pan-European research to be published in 2000, Morgan Stanley was ranked No.1 in Autos, Banks, Food and Beverages, Insurance, Mining & Minerals and Strategy. Overall this year Morgan Stanley's European Equity Research Department has come 1st in the Reuters, Greenwich and Global Investor polls and 2nd in the Institutional Investor poll, in which it also came 1st for Pan-European research. Global Investor polled over 300 European equity fund managers on the quality of broker research overall, by sector and by country. The survey was conducted in July and August 2000.
