The winners were formally announced at the Awards Ceremony of the 1998 NewMedia INVISION Awards Festival here in San Francisco on November 12th. Other finalist sites recognized for outstanding achievement, including sites that are designed for a general public audience and that receive millions of visitors a month, were Microsoft Investor (Gold Award) and CNNfn.com (Silver Award). America Online's Personal/Finance Channel and Chase Funds 12 Point Rule, Ltd. were also recognized.

The Morgan Stanley Dean Witter CMBS site's dynamic, interactive design and outstanding functionality helped qualify it as a finalist in the Informational Financial website category. The CMBS Home Page is part of Client Link, Morgan Stanley's secure website for clients. It provides detailed information on Commercial Mortgaged Backed Securities research, a live ticker that is continually updated from the trading/research desk, a chart of historical spreads, and information on every deal issued street-wide that Morgan Stanley Dean Witter has modeled. A price yield table, bond cash flow chart, term sheet, and PPM/prospectus are available for each deal. In addition, clients may search by ticker symbol, deal names or collateral.

The INVISION Awards Festival is now the largest digital multimedia festival in the world, with competition for this year's awards the most difficult to date, according to festival officials. The 1998 NewMedia INVISION Award winners were chosen from a field of 1,080 entries by a panel of journalists, creative directors, multimedia designers and industry experts.

Winners were determined on aesthetics, creativity, technical innovation, interface design and the effectiveness of the site's communication with its target audience. The site, designed by Net Technologies, Inc. was honored for excellence in all of these areas.
