In the March 13, 1998 issue of MTN Week, Morgan Stanley ranked as the Top Dealer for Innovative Structures (those that present creative funding opportunities to issuers) for the second year in a row. This reflects the emphasis Morgan Stanley places on providing clients with a value-added service. Morgan Stanley also was the runner-up in the Most Active Dealer category (those dealers that provide a high level of service and issuance activity on a program).

Issuer surveys by market sources represent a crucial tool in measuring EMTN placement capabilities, as the nature of the private placement market makes it difficult to provide unbiased support. This poll, coupled with the recent "MTN House of the Year for 1997" Award from Corporate Finance demonstrates Morgan Stanley’s strength in this area.
