Morgan Stanley was named Global Equity House of the Year in the International Financing Review annual awards. The trade publication announced the results on December 19.
"Despite boardroom struggles that many rivals thought would significantly damage its business, Morgan Stanley's global capital markets franchise continued to reap the rewards of its strategic approach in 2005," the editors wrote in the citation. "For maintaining its strong position in all major regions, and for structuring innovative and sometimes aggressive financings, Morgan Stanley is IFR's Equity House of the Year."
