Morgan Stanley Commodities is one of the premier global franchises, having operated in the commodities markets for close to 20 years. Morgan Stanley has also developed a strategic alliance with Endesa (the first Spanish electricity producer) which will enable both companies to develop their European wholesale and structured electricity transactions. Morgan Stanley is one of the founding members of Intercontinental Exchange, a new Internet-based electronic marketplace that is reshaping the trading of over the counter (OTC) energy, metals and other commodities products and instruments. Recently the Commodities Division has launched a client website that offers real-time information, the latest prices, concise commentaries and tools to price and analyse individual strategies and a whole portfolio of positions.
