Morgan Stanley's Latin America Research Team showed tremendous momentum in LatinFinance's recently released 1998 Latin Research Olympics. In this poll, the Street competes for awards in equity, economics, and debt. Morgan Stanley increased its overall ranking, moving to fourth place in 1998 from sixth place in 1997. The team's overall weighted score of 27 points was significantly higher than last year's 18 points and was mainly bolstered by the four additional silver medals that Morgan Stanley earned in both the equity and economics divisions.
